Just finished reading her book. It was an awesome distraction from my recent breakup. The chapter titled "Men and Boys" totally spoke to me, because the guy who broke up with me was definitely a boy. I am 31. I should know better. Now I do.
But the sentence that struck me the most in the whole book was this: "As my mom has said, when one person is unhappy, it usually means two people are unhappy but one has not come to terms with it yet."
This. This SO MUCH.
A close second, which didn't speak to me personally but was totally hilarious is: "The sight of a fat child falling, lifeless, from a high distance into a pond is kind of an amazing sight, I'll bet." That and many others made me snort in public.
Keep being you, Mindy Kaling.
